Nearly every time I photograph somebody the subject of ‘photo shopping’ and ‘air brushing’ is brought up. Being a pretty casual and natural soul myself, I am always pretty quick to jump in and tell my subjects the ins and outs if it, and that my good lenses and use of light will make them look fabulous alone, without electronically changing their body and face! I do love the results that come from high end fashion and illustrative photography when really working a ‘concept’, which will be used in future posts, however for this job, it wasn’t needed, the beauty was within each subject from the very beginning.
Last week I was privileged to be apart of Marina Passalaris’s Beautiful Minds courses, in Townsville and Mackay.
None of these photos have been photoshopped, to show you how stunning you can be without all the hoo haa of airbrushing! These girls are aged 13-16 and I truly think they did a fantastic job, the shoots were done in just 8-10 min each girl and they had never stepped in front of a pro lens before. Magic stuff!
