A mermaid meets a marine lover!

Kate and Wlad’s love has always been tied to the sea. Wladimir, a Marine Biologist studying and caring for the ocean, and Kate, a former performer and real-life Mermaid!

So, naturally, it felt only fitting that they celebrated their wedding in the underwater observatory at Daydream Island Resort. The aquarium set the stage for the ceremony, but even behind glass, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

Wlad’s family travelled all the way from Brazil, their excitement and love filling the space alongside the couples own.

The Whitsundays skies weren’t the usual sparkling blue, instead offering moody, cinematic tones that made every frame feel alive with emotion.

From the intimate tears inside the aquarium to Daydream Island's stunning coastal landscape, I loved capturing this couple's day where love, family, and the ocean collided oh-so perfectly!
